Don’t Curse Your Future

We’ve all done it. We have complained about the situations we find ourselves in whether it be our jobs, our relationships or just life’s circumstances. Sometimes we would rather wallow in pity than actively look for a way to create change.

When we speak these words we are effectively cursing our future. Instead we should be praying for what “could be.” We should set goals and look to attain them even if it’s just with baby steps. Complaining only keeps us where we are.

I am guilty of this myself. Then I remember how blessed I really am. I don’t live in a palace or drive a Porsche. I don’t have a six figure salary. But I do have a warm bed, food, a family that loves me and to whom I matter. My bills are paid and I have a little mad money.

We need to look to the future with hope. We should be praying for what can be, not what is. I pray for my children and my family everyday for what their futures can hold and the blessings that are waiting for them, for things they don’t even know yet. Start speaking positive thoughts and see if your situation changes.
