Sometimes you just have to sit and listen to the “oldies.” By that I mean the music you grew up listening to. Those songs bring back so many memories, every song attached to some moment in your past.
My sisters and I started out with 8 tracks! As we got more sophisticated, we progressed to cassette tapes. I used to record the Saturday night top “whatever it was” from the radio. LOL. You had to be on your game and time it just right so you didn’t get the announcer’s voice.
Then there were the high school dances. My friends and I would be so excited about going. Sometimes we would skip school to go buy a new pair of jeans or shirt to wear. My boyfriend was a DJ so I had to steal the occasional dance with him. We always got the last dance together though.
Time moves on and the music changes. We always think our generation had the best music…but I know mine did! I’m glad I grew up in the time I did. I wouldn’t change it. Music has been and always will be a part of who I am.
