When I was growing up things were different. You had to figure things out. We learned to cook from scratch and combed through encyclopedias at the library to do school reports (God forbid someone else had the book you needed)! We looked up numbers in the phone book. And if you wanted to talk to your friend, you either rode you bike or walked to their house.

Nowadays many things are much more convenient or “user friendly.” The push of a button will heat your meal in 2 minutes or speak into your phone and find out the weather on the other side of the world. We’ve become a society that has forgotten the satisfaction of waiting for something. We want everything to be simple.

There is one thing that is very simple. Salvation! The salvation message is “user friendly.” One little prayer can change your entire eternity. It won’t take away all the problems in the world but it will give you a place to land when things go pear-shaped. The bible says in Hebrews 13:5 that the Lord will never leave you or forsake you. We all make a choice of whether or not to believe. One day we’ll know the answer.
