The difficulty of being alone is magnified when things go wrong, Things that you didn’t have to worry about before. It can be daunting to realize how much you don’t know and what a difference having your spouse made. Now you are left to try and figure it out.
Reaching out to others can be hard because you feel like a burden. I have a tough time asking for help. I have to think about it for a long time and exhaust every other avenue first. Yet I always tell others to let me know if they need help.
Trying to be independent doesn’t always work. Nobody can do everything by themselves. Reach out. Ask for help. It’s ok. You will find that people are willing to lend a hand. I have to learn to take my own advice and be humble enough to let others do the things I can’t do.
